Our products and services meet high technical requirements and quality standards. For this, we use a comprehensive range of in-house test equipment and test facilities. Our military and civilian approvals as well as our certifications provide objective evidence of our capabilities. To maintain these standards, our processes are monitored and tested continuously and, if necessary, they are optimised.
Since it is never possible to avoid faults completely, despite all of the Zero Defect Strategies, it is important to convey to employees just how significant it is for them to communicate their mistakes openly. With this understanding, knowledge, insight and, above all, quality awareness in relation of our products and processes, our employees contribute substantially towards meeting the high quality requirements that lead to customer satisfaction.
CERTIFICATIONS
The LITEF management system meets the requirements of national and international standards, norms, specifications and legislation governing quality, the environment, health and occupational safety and information security.

Northrop Grumman LITEF GmbH is certified by DEKRA and has established and effectively implemented a quality management system that complies with the specified standard (EN 9100:2018, based on ISO 9001:2015 and technically equivalent to AS 9100D and JISQ 9100:2016. The audit was performed in accordance with EN 9104-001:2013.
Northrop Grumman LITEF is certified by DNV GL - Business Assurance for Data Center Services in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information technology — Security procedures — Information security management systems — Requirements (certificate no. 190946-2015-AIS-GER-UKAS).
Northrop Grumman LITEF GmbH holds approval as an approved aviation organisation to work on German military aircraft, as issued by the German Military Aviation Authority (LufABw) in acc. with section 30 (1) of German aviation legislation (LuftVG) in conjunction with no. 209 of the German armed forces [General Publication of the German armed forces] A1-1525/0-8901 (authorisation no. LufABw-LTB-061-17).
Northrop Grumman LITEF GmbH is authorised to conduct development activities in the context of ETSO authorisation in accordance with Part 21.A.606(a) by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) (APDOA Approval Ref. AP234).
Northrop Grumman LITEF GmbH is authorised by the German Civil Aviation Authority (LBA) to operate as a manufacturing facility with approval in accordance with Part-21, Main section A, Section G (File number: DE.21G.0104).
LITEF GmbH is approved by the Germany Civil Aviation Authority (LBA) as a maintenance organisation in accordance with Part-145 (File number: DE.145.0114).
Northrop Grumman LITEF is authorised by the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to operate an approved Repair Station in accordance with Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regualtions (14 CFR) parts 43 and 145 (Air Agency Certificate Number L9TY928N).
Northrop Grumman LITEF GmbH is an EASA Part-145 organization, approved by the Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) (Approved Organisation Number: 0810-15). The status of the approval can be found on the EASA-Website (search term "LITEF").
Northrop Grumman LITEF GmbH is certified by DNV GL SE in accordance with the current requirements of the conformity assessment procedure compliant with Module B (EC type examination) and Module D (production quality assurance) as described in Annex II, Directive 2014/90/EU of 23 July 2014 on marine equipment (MED) and Regulation (EU) 2018/773.
